Which zoo to visit in PA?

We are going on a family vacation at the end of the month and wanted to take the kids to a zoo. So I was wondering if any locals could tell me which would be better, the Pittsburgh or Philadelphia zoo? We will be near both of them at one point, so any suggestions are appreciated!

Visit the first zoo in the US ! And it is the Philadelphia Zoo. Truly the best on the east coast. If your children are young, you could also go to the Please Touch museum, which is very close to the zoo.
