Stay away from west and north Philly and you'll be fine. Well Southwest is going down to.

Phillys actually not bad at all. Im from "the hood" in jersey and i always thought Philly was going to be similiar but when i went it didnt seem bad to me at all. Cheesesteaks were overrated BTW
***edit*** yes i have family in Oakland and its WAY worse then philly

There are some real hard areas that I wouldn['t even drive through in the daytime, but at the same time, there are also $3,000,000 houses a few blocks away. It's weird and not as separated as most people would think it.

If your asking about downtown philly, no there arent areas that are hood.
But Philadelphia is huge and there are parts that are very hood.
